It's normal for your TV box to feel warm while you're using it. The box is designed without a cooling fan, but it shouldn't overheat if it's stored correctly.
For added safety, your TV box has a heat-detection chip. If it gets too warm, it'll automatically go into standby until it reaches a safe temperature.
Keep your TV box cool
Make sure you:
- Remove the protective film from the top of the box
- Leave at least 5cm of space above and around the sides
- Don't put anything on top of the box
- Don't place it on top of other electrical equipment
- Keep it out of direct sunlight
- Keep it away from electrical devices and heat sources, such as external power packs
- Keep it away from soft furnishings, such as cushions and rugs
Turn on SMART Standby Mode
You can also help keep your TV box cooler when you're not using it:
- Press Home on your remote and go to Settings
- Select Power & Standby
- Select Standby Mode
- Choose SMART (Recommended)
