BT Parental Controls
BT Parental Controls help protect your family from accessing unsuitable websites. They give you flexibility and control over how you use your broadband at home.
- Log in to My BT.
- Scroll to My Extras.
- Select Turn on on the BT Parental Controls panel.
- Choose the Light filter.
Once set up, it works automatically on devices connected to your BT Hub.

Web Threat Protect
Web Threat Protect helps keep you safe from viruses, scams and phishing attacks. It warns you if you’re about to visit a potentially harmful website.
It works on any device connected to your BT Hub.
- Log in to My BT.
- Scroll to My Extras.
- Select Turn on on the Web Threat Protect panel.
It starts protecting your connection straight away.

Cyber Threat Protect
Cyber Threat Protect adds extra protection for your devices and personal information:
- Warns you about email phishing scams.
- Protects your information from online attacks.
- Lets you browse safely with a simple traffic-light system.
