When you report abuse or phishing, you're helping us to protect other users.
We want all our customers to have a positive experience online, but unfortunately, people sometimes misuse our network. This could be anything from sending viruses to posting illegal material.
If you'd like to know more, our Acceptable Use Policy explains what users can and can't do.
Unfortunately, we can't stop abuse that doesn't come from our network. Please report the abuse directly to the offender's Internet Service Provider (ISP). You can find out who the Internet Service Provider (ISP) is by looking up any IP address in the RIPE Database at www.db.ripe.net/whois.
We have partnered with the National Cyber Security Centre to bring the latest advice and guidance to our customers – for tips on how to protect yourself, visit their website at https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberaware/home
If you have clicked on a link, opened an attachment or entered any personal details, we recommend that you run an anti-virus scan before changing your passwords for services such as online banking and your BT ID and BT Email.
For child sexual abuse and child protection issues please send a report to the Internet Watch Foundation, you can do this directly via www.iwf.org.uk
