Can I use any Hub or router with Fibre?

No, the Hub needs to be specifically designed to work with fibre broadband, so you can only use the BT Smart Hub or the BT Home Hub 5, 4, or 3, or the earlier BT Infinity Hub. Hub 3 and Hub 4 also need to have an Openreach modem fitted by an engineer.

BT Home Hub 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 do not support Fibre. If you're upgrading to Fibre 1 and have one of these Hubs, we'll include a new Hub with your order.

The BT Smart Hub and BT Home Hub 5, 4, and 3 will also work with standard (ADSL) broadband. So if you later move to an area without Fibre, you'll still be able to use it.
