4G Calling lets you make and receive calls over a 4G network. It means clearer calls and faster data while you talk.
How it works
On compatible iPhones and Android phones, 4G Calling is switched on by default. There’s nothing extra to set up.
To make a call, dial or text as usual. You’ll see the 4G indicator at the top of your screen during a call, and your phone will keep 4G speeds while you talk.
4G Calling works in the UK on our 4G network. It doesn’t work when you’re roaming abroad, but you can still make calls over 3G or 2G.
There’s no extra charge for 4G Calling. It’s included in your BT Mobile plan. Calls and texts use your monthly allowance; anything beyond your allowance is charged at standard rates.
