BT Mobile SIM not working: troubleshooting guide

This article will help you troubleshoot issues you're having with your BT Mobile SIM:

 

Check that it's sitting in your device correctly. Use our online guides to help you.

If your SIM isn’t working, it may not have been activated yet. Activate your SIM online at www.bt.com/go or call us on 0800 800 150.

If it’s activated and still not working, restart your phone.

Try cleaning the SIM and the contacts with a dry cloth (the kind you use to clean glasses). Then turn your device off, then back on again.

If it still doesn't work, it might be locked to another network. You'll need to get it unlocked by the mobile provider you originally bought it from. How do I unlock my phone?

If you know your device is definitely unlocked, the problem could be with the SIM itself. Order a replacement SIM.
