Fix problems connecting devices to your Smart Hub Plus or Smart Hub 3 Wi‑Fi

This article will help you if you're having issues connecting devices to the Wi-Fi network on your Smart Hub 3.

What’s happening

After a recent firmware update, some customers using a Smart Hub 3 may find that certain devices or Wi‑Fi extenders won’t connect to the Wi‑Fi network.

We now have a fix for the Smart Hub Plus when wireless devices aren't connecting as they should. We have initiated a rollout, but it will take a while to reach every device. If you'd like to skip the wait and be upgraded ASAP, please fill in this form.

If your device still won’t connect, try using Compatible Wi‑Fi. This can help older or less compatible devices connect more reliably.

Find out more about how to Set up Compatible Wi‑Fi.

We’re working to fix this. Some of our customers have found the following steps help:

  1. Restart your hub - turn your Smart Hub off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
  2. Restart your extenders - if you use Wi‑Fi extenders, switch them off and then back on again.
  3. Restart your device - reboot any phone, tablet, laptop or other device that won’t connect.

Status update -17th June 17:00

Our engineers have identified the cause of an issue affecting some Smart Hub Plus and Smart Hub 6 Plus customers. A fix has now been developed and is being rolled out to affected hubs.

Most customers will receive the update automatically by the end of June. Your hub may briefly restart as part of this update.

Once the update has been applied, you should begin to see an improvement in performance.
