TNT Sports on EE TV uses your broadband connection, not your aerial like Freeview channels.
If your picture or sound is breaking up, it’s usually down to how your TV box or broadband kit is set up.
Follow these steps to get things working again:
- Check other channels and apps
See if the issue happens on all TNT Sports channels, or when you watch On Demand apps like BBC iPlayer. If everything else works fine, the problem could be with the TNT Sports stream.
- Check how your TV box is connected to your hub
If you’re using an Ethernet cable
Make sure the cable is firmly plugged into your TV box and your BT Hub.
For the best picture on TNT Sports, we recommend using a wired connection rather than Powerline Adapters. If your cable isn’t long enough, you can buy a longer one from most tech shops, including the EE Store or call us on 0800 111 4567.
If you’re using Wi-Fi
Check your TV box has a strong Wi-Fi signal. If it’s far from your hub, you may need a Wi-Fi disc to improve the signal strength.
- Check all other cables and hub
Make sure everything is plugged in securely. Your TV box needs to be connected to a BT Hub for TNT Sports to work properly.
- Check your hub lights
Your hub lights should be on and showing a normal connection. If anything looks unusual, restart the hub. Find out more about what your hub lights mean
- Check if other devices are using your broadband
If someone is gaming, streaming or downloading large files, your TNT Sports picture might be affected.
- Check your HDMI or SCART cable
If you’re using HDMI, try the cable that came with your box. If your TV doesn't have an HDMI socket, try moving your SCART cable to another socket on your TV.
- Check your picture quality alerts
Go to Settings then TV Signal and Quality, and then Picture Quality Alert for Internet Channels. Make sure alerts are switched on.
