Digital Voice
We recommend that you use our Essential Digital Voice or Advanced Digital Voice handsets, which have been specially designed to use with our Digital Voice service.
You can order them when you place your order for Digital Voice. If you want additional handsets later, you can purchase them by contacting us.
If you're a Digital Voice customer you can continue to use your existing handset by plugging it into the phone port on the back of the Smart Hub. Alternatively, you can use one of our Digital Voice Adapters, each of which will replace an extension socket. Go to our Digital Voice Adapter help page to find out how to order, set up and use one of our Digital Voice adapters.
Home Phone Standard
You can continue to use your current phone and you don't need any new equipment, and all existing extension sockets will continue to work as they always have.
Fax machine
Generally, fax is supported by the Digital Voice and Home Phone Standard, although it's not 100% guaranteed.
Try scanning the document and sending it as an email attachment, or take a photo of it on your mobile and send it that way.
If you need to use your fax machine, connect it to the phone port on the back of the Smart Hub. It's best to send no more than 10 pages at a time.
