The BT Sport Pack now features four channels – BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport 3 and BT Sport ESPN. They sit alongside their HD versions – BT Sport 1HD, BT Sport 2HD, BT Sport 3HD and BT Sport ESPN HD. The BT Sport Pack will show all 351 UEFA Champions League & UEFA Europa League games broadcast live each season, plus the Premier League, FA Cup, Gallagher Premiership Rugby, Ultimate Fighting Championship, MotoGP™ and loads more. 

There are five ways to watch BT Sport:

1. On the Sky Digital Satellite Platform

If you have a Sky box and an active Sky viewing card, you can easily get the BT Sport Pack. You don't even need to be a BT customer, but if you do have BT TV then you can add BT Sport Pack from as little as £10 a month (free with Starter or Entertainment Extra combo), and if you have BT Broadband then BT Sport Pack is just from £16 a month. Without BT Broadband it costs from £29.99 a month.

2. On BT TV

Watch live sport on BT TV with a BT Superfast Fibre Broadband or BT Broadband package. And if you can get BT Superfast Fibre Broadband with BT TV, you can add BT Sport HD for a small monthly fee.

3. On the BT Sport app and online player

As long as you've got broadband from BT, you can watch BT Sport on your PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet using the app and online player. You'll need to enter your BT ID to start watching.

4. BT Sport Pack on BT TV and the Sky Digital Satellite Platform 

You can have BT Sport simultaneously on BT TV and Sky if you subscribe to both services. This costs £10 a month for the BT Sport Pack on additional box. 

5. On BT Mobile 

For customers with BT Mobile only, you can watch on your smartphone using the app.

BT Sport pack gives you:

•     42 exclusively live Premier League football matches

•     Live Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches

•     All the season's MotoGP™ races – live and exclusive

If you watch BT Sport using your BT Broadband or a BT Wi-Fi hotspot, it won't count towards your usage allowance.

If you've got broadband from another supplier, or if you watch BT Sport using a mobile data connection (for example on your smartphone or tablet), that might count towards your usage allowance.

Yes, if you've got the right equipment at home to connect your PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet to your TV, then you'll be able to stream the app onto your TV. Alternatively, find out more about using Google Chromecast to watch BT Sport on your TV. Please note that BT Mobile customers with the BT Mobile Sport app (different from the regular app) will not be able to do this.

If you've got a HD subscription with Sky, this won't work with BT Sport. You'll need to add BT Sport HD to your BT Sport package.

To watch in HD, you'll need a HD-ready TV that's connected to your set-top box using a HDMI cable. If you're watching on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform, you'll also need a black Sky box.

If you're on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform, you can watch BT Sport at home on a second TV if you have BT Sport Second Box. You'll need a second Sky box and second viewing card to order.

If you've got BT Sport HD, you'll be able to watch it on both your boxes. You won't need an extra BT Sport HD subscription.

Sorry, but the BT Sport app and online player is only available on its own with BT Broadband packages, and is free for 3 months then costs £10 a month. The app and online player is also included for free if you order BT Sport on BT TV, Sky TV or TalkTalk TV.

First, you need to download the app from the Apple App store or Google Play store.

Next, you need to activate the BT Sport app on your BT account. Just log in to My BT, click on 'BT Sport' and follow the instructions.

When you use the app, and when you want to watch BT Sport at btsport.com, you'll need to enter your BT ID.

We have two types of broadband: BT Superfast Fibre and standard BT Broadband.

BT Superfast Fibre gives you a superfast fibre optic broadband connection with average speeds of 67Mb. This lets you do more online, with everyone online together, and it's great for downloading or streaming movies, TV shows and music. You can watch iPlayer with less interruption and HD video with less buffering.

If you can't get BT Superfast Fibre or if you live in a home with lighter internet usage and fewer devices, standard BT Broadband is ideal for you. It's perfect for everyday browsing, uploading and sharing photos and updates on your favourite sites and streaming content online.

Superfast Fibre is our fibre optic broadband.

It uses fibre optic technology to deliver superfast broadband with average speeds of 67Mb which lets you do more online, with everyone online together. This means there's no more battling for bandwidth, even in the busiest home.

It's great for downloading or streaming movies, TV shows and music. You can watch iPlayer with less interruption and HD video with less buffering. You'll also need Superfast Fibre to be able to get our TV Entertainment package, which includes 20 premium entertainment channels.

Your download speed is the speed at which you can download or stream things from the internet.

Your upload speed is the speed that you can upload things to the internet (for example, posting photos to social media).

It’s important to know that the speed ranges we show are an estimate. They’re based on homes with similar lines to yours, but there are other things than can affect the speed you’ll get – like how many people are using your broadband connection at the time, and whether you’re using a wireless or cable connection.

The minimum download speed is the lowest speed we think you should get with this package.

You can test the speed to your hub in My BT. If it’s slower than it should be, get in touch and we’ll do our best to fix it.

If we can’t improve it within 30 days, you can leave your contract without penalty. This is because we’ve signed up to the Ofcom Voluntary Codes of Practice on Broadband Speed.

If you’ve got one of our Ultrafast packages, you’ll also get a speed guarantee of at least 100Mb, and an upload speed guarantee of 10Mb. If you test the speed to your hub and it’s lower than it should be, you can claim £20. You can make a claim up to four times a year.

BT TV is BT's best service ever, bringing you big entertainment for tiny prices.

We have a variety of clever little set-top boxes. With our Entertainment Extra combo TV package you could step into the world of Ultra High definition with the 4k recordable TV box, which also gives you access to 1TB of memory. You can record up to 600 hours of SD TV, 250 hours of HD TV and 60 hours of Ultra HD TV.

If you choose Essential, Classic, Entertainment or Entertainment Extra, you'll get a recordable TV box that lets you pause live TV, record up to 300 hours of standard definition programmes and access seven days of catch up TV.

If you choose Starter, you'll get a TV box that doesn't record but still lets you pause and rewind live TV.

All packages include BT Sport and up to 80 Freeview TV and radio channels, including up to 15 HD channels such as BBC One HD, Channel 4 HD and ITV HD.

You can add flexible TV bolt-ons to get the best in films, box sets, sports, kids' TV and music – all on convenient one-month contracts.

If you have standard BT Broadband you can add Starter or Essential. If you have Superfast Fibre you can add Starter, Classic or Entertainment which gives you 20 premium channels†, including BT Sport, Discovery Channel, MTV, Comedy Central, Gold, History and National Geographic.

Entertainment Extra is available to those with Superfast Fibre line speeds of over 44MB. It includes HD Extra, BT Sport Ultimate and BT TV App Extra.

Ultra high-definition TV (Ultra HD), also known as 4K TV, is a new broadcasting technology that gives stunning picture quality. It gives you four times the detail of HD as it uses four times as many pixels (8.29m vs. 2.07m pixels), and it displays twice as much information as ordinary HD TV (50 frames per second vs. 25). Plus you get richer, deeper colour as colours are displayed in 10-bit detail vs. 8-bit with ordinary HD.

BT Sport Ultimate is our dedicated 4K Ultra HD channel. 4K Ultra HD is the name given to a new type of high definition television, with four-times better detail than regular HD. You can access BT Sport Ultimate with our Entertainment Extra package. You’ll need an Ultra HD or 4K TV set, an ultra HD set-top box and Superfast Fibre Broadband. See our list of suitable TVs.

You can opt in to receive the AMC channel on your BT TV package at any point.

AMC is available to BT TV customers in standard definition on channel 332, and sufficient line speed. BT TV customers will receive access to AMC catch-up content via their BT Player. AMC is a separate opt in bonus channel and may be removed at any time.

Watch on Sky

Sky customers can watch AMC on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform on channel 192 (If you have AMC in HD, this is also on channel 192). To be able to watch AMC on Sky you'll need to have BT Sport on Sky. AMC catch-up content is available to BT TV customers only.

You can watch live sport in your living room on BT TV with both Superfast Fibre and standard BT broadband.

Choose your BT TV package and just include BT Sport when you come to adding extras.

If you have BT TV with Superfast Fibre then you can also get BT Sport in HD by adding HD Extra for a small fee (Entertainment Extra has BT Sport in HD included).

All our TV packages come with up to 15 Freeview HD channels, including BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV HD, and 4 HD. You can add BT Sport and AMC in HD, and also watch HD on demand films.

If you've got Entertainment you can add the HD Extra bolt-on, which includes Nat Geo Wild HD, Comedy Central HD and MTV HD.

If you're an existing TV customer and upgrade to Entertainment Extra, you'll get HD Extra included in the price of your package.

You'll need to connect your set-top box to a HD-ready TV with a HDMI cable.

You can get BT TV in a second room with BT TV app Extra, so you and your family can watch and record different shows at the same time. Plus, you can watch TV on the go with the BT TV mobile app, which gives you entertainment channels, kids' channels and BT Sport.

Here's what you need if you want to get BT TV app Extra:

  • Superfast Fibre with speeds of 23Mbps or more
  • 12-month subscription to BT TV App
  • You'll need a TV box or a recordable TV box as your main set-top box. You can choose an extra TV box (that doesn't record) with all our TV packages, or a recordable TV box with Entertainment and Entertainment Extra
  • A separate aerial connection for your second set-top box (we can help if you need an aerial or extra connection points)
  • To download the BT TV app from the Apple Store or Google Play shop to watch BT TV on your mobile or tablet.

If you get Entertainment or Entertainment Extra, you'll get BT TV App as part of your package. BT TV App allows you to both watch and record BT TV on the go – all you need is the free BT TV app and an internet connection.

If you can watch Freeview channels already (with a reception you're happy with), then your aerial should be fine. But if not, we strongly recommend a rooftop or loft aerial. They give a good service and as many Freeview channels as possible.

The following are not recommended by BT:

  • Portable aerial – portable aerials give poor reception and often you'll get fewer channels
  • Satellite dish – you won't be able to receive Freeview channels on BT TV with a satellite dish.

Other things to consider:

  • If your aerial is more than ten years old, it might not be able to receive Freeview
  • The quality of your Freeview service also depends on how close you live to your nearest transmitter, the direction your aerial is pointing in, the quality of your cabling and your surroundings (e.g. at the bottom of a hill, surrounding trees and/or buildings).

What if I don't have an aerial?

Not to worry, we can install it for you. Just select our aerial installation service, which costs £30, when you start your order. There are a few things to bear in mind before you do:

  • You must be able to receive Freeview channels in your area
  • Your property must be on the UK mainland or in Northern Ireland
  • Your property can be no more than two storeys high
  • Your property can’t be listed or within a conservation area (unless you've been given permission)
  • If you're renting, you'll need permission from your landlord, owner or managing agent.

If you've got BT TV and a Superfast Fibre package, you can add Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Extra.

You can add these channels when you order your packages.

BT Broadband and TV Installation service terms

What we provide

1.      We will:

a.      install and connect your BT Hub and connect a device to the BT Broadband service;

b.      demonstrate a working product and test your Wi-Fi signal;

c.       connect any additional kit for other BT products and services such as Complete Wi-Fi;

d.      connect your BT TV to the BT Broadband, including any multi-room boxes where applicable; and

e.      install a single additional cable / socket if needed in order to connect your BT Broadband Service.

2.      You will be responsible for reconnecting any existing devices or equipment you may have.

Providing the Broadband installation service to you

3.      In order to provide the service:

a.      your property must be located on the UK mainland and Northern Ireland;

b.      you must own the property or have permission from the landlord or agent managing the property and have permission from any other relevant authority to have the work done; and

c.       there must be a responsible adult present in your home. Where this person is not you, it must be someone authorised by you to make decisions regarding the location and installation of equipment.

d.      as the account holder, you must be present if you wish to make any changes to the service we’re providing, or if you decide to purchase additional products from our Home Tech Expert.

Who will be carrying out the installation service?

4.      We work with Openreach to provide installation services if you require a new phone line, and for specific technology changes that require work outside of your property (e.g. Full Fibre). You may also choose an optional installation by one of our Home Tech Experts, this is a chargeable service, details of charges are shown in our Tariff Guide

5.      What is a Home Tech Expert? Working in partnership with Enjoy and Qube, our Home Tech Experts are trained to install, repair and optimise BT products and services (e.g. Smart Hub 2, BT TV, My BT app, Complete Wi-Fi, BT master phone socket) whilst visiting you at home. Our Home Tech Experts can also connect non-BT devices to the BT Smart Hub over Wi-Fi. Home Tech Experts will provide advice on the full range of BT’s products and services, some of which you may choose to purchase during the visit.

When the Broadband installation service starts

6.      We will agree a date and timeslot with you for the service. If there is a delay in performing the service for reasons outside of our control then we will let you know and take steps to reduce the delay. We will not be liable to you for such delays.

7.      We aim to arrange a Home Tech Expert visit for the day after your Broadband has been activated to ensure the network is ready. We’ll send you your new Hub in the post beforehand so if you want to make sure your service is continuous, you might need to plug it in before your Home Tech Expert appointment.

8.      If we need to change the installation date, we will try to contact you as soon as possible before the scheduled installation date.

9.      If you need to change or cancel any appointment date, you must tell BT at least one working day prior to the scheduled appointment or we may charge the equivalent of the installation charge. We may also charge you if the engineer is unable to access or is refused access to your property at the time of the scheduled appointment.

Cancellation

10.  You may cancel your agreement for the service at any time before the engineer or Home Tech Expert starts work on the installation. Once the installation work has started any applicable installation charges cannot be refunded, and you will be liable to pay this. For details of charges please see our Tariff Guide.

11.  The Broadband installation service is a standalone service and separate from your contract for the BT Broadband Service.

12.  If the Broadband and TV installation service cannot be provided for reasons outside our control you will not be charged.

AMC on BT TV

You'll need sufficient line speed and a subscription to BT TV to watch the live AMC channel on BT TV. If you would like to get AMC, you just need to select the AMC Option whilst personalising your package. If you Opt out of AMC, the channel and/or catch-up content will remain enabled for a set period and will cease within 3 months. AMC is a separate bolt-on bonus channel and may be removed at any time.

HD

You'll need an HD ready TV & cabling. Free for first three months. One month minimum term. Terms apply.

Sky Cinema

Calls to service numbers

Calls to service numbers starting 084, 087, 09 & 118 consist of a 20p per minute access charge from BT, plus a service charge set by the company you call.

Where calling plans include a set number of minutes we always round up to the nearest minute.

Pay As You Go: 30 day minimum term. 20p per minute for all UK landlines, UK mobiles and 0845 and 0870 numbers excluding the Channel Islands.

500 Minutes: 30 day minimum term. 500 inclusive anytime minutes to UK landlines, UK mobiles and 0845 and 0870 numbers excluding the Channel Islands. Maximum of 150 calls a month to 0845 and 0870 numbers. If you exceed your 500 Minute calling plan allowance two months in a row we’ll move you onto our Unlimited Minutes plan.

Unlimited Minutes: 30 day minimum term. Unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles excluding the Channel Islands. 150 calls or 1000 minutes a month to 0845 and 0870 numbers.

International Freedom

Only £8.50 a month. Includes calls to landlines in 36 International destinations. For residential customers on a BT Calling Plan. Minimum 1 month term. Fair use policy (calls over 600 minutes a month will be charged at 6p a minute) and Terms and Conditions apply. Some regions are included or excluded within countries:

  • Australia includes the Christmas Islands & Cocos Islands
  • Cyprus excludes Northern Cyprus

Call Diversion

BT Answer 1571 voicemail

Opt-in is required. £3.50 a month. No minimum call commitment applies. The call return feature will not be available if the person leaving the message has chosen to withhold their number or if the call was from an international number. Customers who use Call Barring should note that calls to 1571 will be barred under outgoing Call Barring option 1. This is because calling 1571 may lead to a chargeable call. A facility fee of 35p, will also be charged for the call set-up attempt. Some social alarm and burglar alarm equipment may not be compatible with BT Answer 1571. Please check with your supplier.

BT 1471

Dialling BT 1471 without using Call Return is free. The Call Return feature of BT 1471 costs a fixed fee of 35p. The fee will apply when you press 3 to return your last caller's call. This charge applies whether or not the call is connected. If you don't want your number to be obtained through Caller Display or Call Return (1471), dial 141 before making your call. 1471 cannot disclose the number if the number is withheld, unavailable or the call came from a switchboard extension number.

BT8600 Nuisance Call Blocker

Nuisance call blocking functionality blocks up to 100% of nuisance/unwanted calls. To block nuisance calls you need the Caller Display service to be active on your account. See details.

Line rental

You can pay for your monthly line rental either by direct debit for £19.99 a month for Standard Line or by paying £219.84, equivalent to £18.32 a month by credit/debit card for 12 monthly payments in advance (Line Rental Saver) giving you one month's line rental free.  You'll need to pay any additional call charges by Direct Debit. You'll receive e-billing. Connection charges may apply for new connections. There's a 12 month minimum term. Exclusions and conditions apply.

Home Phone Saver 2020

£21.99 a month. Available to new and existing BT customers that sign up for an 18 month minimum term. Package includes BT line rental and unlimited calls to UK* landlines for up to an hour. Also included when you opt in are: BT Privacy Caller Display, Anonymous Call Reject, and Free 1471 call return. Line Rental Plus

Monthly Spend Cap

Your spend cap is for data, minutes or texts beyond your plan’s monthly allowance, you can set a limit on what you spend. Any add-ons you buy won’t count towards the spend cap and you’ll get separate one-off or monthly charges for these.

Your initial cap is set to £40 for out of plan spend and £35 for data roaming, you can decrease your limit to £0 or increase up to a maximum of £200 subject to your credit status.

Add ons

Extra Speed - With Extra Speed 4G, the maximum speed available through the network is capped at 60 Mbps rather than 30 Mbps on our standard 4G. This add on is valid from the moment you buy it and then runs on a 30 day rolling contract. Extra Speed 4G is not available on BT Business Mobile plans.

Roaming - Travel Data Pass is a daily data roaming add-on available to all new and existing BT Mobile customers. USA Data Roaming add-ons are no longer available for sale. They are valid for 30 days or until you've used up all the data – whichever comes first.

Paying for your Pre-Ordered Device

You might have to pay an upfront fee for your device. If you do, we’ll take your bank card details when you apply to pre-order. But we won’t charge your bank card until we’ve allocated a device to you. If this payment fails (for example due to lack of funds), your pre-order may be cancelled. You can cancel your pre-order at any point until we charge your card for this upfront fee.

Getting your Pre-Ordered Device

How long will it take for BT to unlock my device?

We aim to unlock all devices within 72 hours. If we need to contact the manufacturer to get a code, it may take 10 days. But, we’ll be in touch if that’s the case.

Extra Speed

Data and minute add-ons

These add-ons run on a 30 day rolling contract until you cancel them. When you first buy an Add-On, it lasts until the date of your next BT Mobile bill. It covers minutes or data used over your inclusive plan allowance, up to the allowance for that Add-On, from your last BT Mobile bill until your next one. Add-On allowances reset at the start of each billing month. You can only have one data and one minutes Add-On at any one time

A UK Add-On covers minutes or data used over your inclusive plan allowance, up to the allowance for that Add-On, from your last BT Mobile bill until your next one. (So if you buy a 500MB Add-On 10 days before the date of your next bill, it'll cover the data you use for those days and the previous 20). The add-on renews automatically every month on the date you get your BT Mobile bill, unless you cancel it.

If you don't want your UK Add-On to renew automatically, you'll need to contact us to cancel it before the date of your next BT Mobile bill. (You can still carry on using it until the date of your next bill and we won't charge you again). Any unused allowance won't carry over when your billing month ends. And if you go over your allowance, standard charges will apply. You can have a maximum of one for minutes and one for data at any one time. We won't transfer or refund UK Add-Ons. They're for your personal use and subject to BT Mobile Service terms and conditions.


BT Reward Card Terms

BT Reward Card is available to new and existing BT Mobile customers ordering the service through bt.com, excluding BT employees.

Available on single SIMs and the first SIM in each Family SIM plan; excludes re-grades & re-contracts.

You will need to have ordered a new BT Mobile plan online during a promotional period and waited 30 days before claiming. Your BT Reward Card could take up to 30 days from claim date to arrive.

On receipt you must activate the card within 3 months via the activation code, which will be sent to you by email to the email address provided with your order. The card is a non-reloadable prepaid card with no cash access (ATM or cash back). The BT Reward Card can be used at most merchants which display the Mastercard® acceptance mark until the funds on the card are depleted or until the card expiry date. Unspent funds which remain on the card after expiry date printed on the card cannot be redeemed. The card cannot be used at any Customer Activated Terminals (such as but not limited to pay@pump, toll roads, car parks or train ticket terminals), for subscriptions automated periodic payments, to withdraw cash via cashback ATM, foreign exchange bureaus, gambling, or any illegal goods services. The prepaid card offer is open to UK residents only, over the age of 18.
